Our Story
The Vineyards
Established in 1998, Eskadale Vineyards is based in Langhorne Creek, South Australia.
Our estate vineyards express their own characteristics and terroir—and all produce grapes bursting with flavour in premium, limited parcels.
Long sunshine hours and cooling Southern Ocean breezes are ideal for shiraz and cabernet sauvignon. We also curate small holdings of chardonnay, viognier and frontignac that shine in our maritime climate.
The Winemaker
Vigneron and owner David Knight has made singular wines from these vineyards for 20 years. Attention is paid to every detail, his intimate knowledge and experience of land, vines and winemaking craft resulting in wines that shine and speak of vintage and terroir.
The Wines
Oddfellows
Made in small quantities from only our most exceptional fruit each vinatge. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Svengali blend are single vineyard wines that capture the essence of each vineyard and have been highly awarded since Oddfellows began in 1998.
Our Oddfellows Shiraz is also a classic—a handcrafted, multi-vineyard blend taking the absolute best of what’s on offer across our vineyards. A pure distillation of Langhorne Creek.
Winners Tank
Showcasing low-yielding shiraz, Winners Tank presents a fruit-driven style with low oak impact—and has been described as “one of the world’s great dry red bargains.”
First created in 2004, the name relates to an old water tank in one of our vineyards.
In true Aussie spirit, a rivalry exists between neighbouring towns in the local Australian Rules Football competition. When victorious, the local team heads to the vineyard to paint the tank in their team colours.
