Winemaker notes
A blend of 55% Shiraz and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon. Cassis, vanilla and liquorice on the nose with a hint of violets. The wine is balanced, significantly influenced by both the Shiraz and Cabernet components. Well balanced acidity and fine tannins work beautifully to provide structure to the rich palate of dark berry and spice. A classic Langhorne Creek blend demonstrating power and finesse
Viticulture
Both parcels of fruit are sourced from our Brickhouse Rd Vineyard. The Shiraz comes from the eastern section of the vineyard when soils are tight and stern, resulting in fruit of great concentration, with the Cabernet from the same block providing great structural integrity to the wine.
This gofundme page is setup to raise funds to help students in Nepal in the village of Lespar- “Shree Salija Madhyamik School”. Our fundraising effort will help repair the school. we would like to raise money to put new equipment including the basics like Windows to ensure a safer warmer enivornment to help students learn better.
There are around 151 Students and 16 Teachers including other staff. The School has students from Kindergarten to Standard 10. The ages of the students are from 2 years to 15 years.
Lespar village is made up of two big villages called ” Tallo Gaun ” ( lower village ) and “Uppallo Gaun ” ( upper village). Most people are not very well educated so their main income source is farming.
Our aim is to raise funds which we will take to Nepal and give to the local school community for repair upgrades. If we raise extra will use this to “sponsor” a Year 10 student into further education, as they have to travel over 2 hours each way everyday to gain this higher education.
Sterling Results Fitness Club is leading a trek to Nepal in April 2023. At the end of our trek we will visit this school and personally deliver the cheque. We will document the trip and share the school experience it’s everyone who donates.
In 2019, we last raise over $5000 and gave the school a range of technology,. including computers, projectors and ipads. the school was most appreciative of our support.
Likewise, in 2015, after the Earthquake we did a similar thing for a school close to Lukla. We raise $3500 and we re-stocked the entire school of books, whiteboard, sports equipment, a computer, and all spare change was spent on giving every student a new school uniform. MONEY goes along way when you purchase in NEPAL .
Our current goal is to raise in excess of $5000 so we can
1. Provide reapirs and maintenance to the school buildings
2. Help a child get a higher education
